Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 2 or 3 to build ballistic/kinematic threat models for TSE under the TASD contract. The role requires handling complex simulations and high-fidelity trajectories, with on-site responsibilities at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

The candidate will work with minimal supervision on a diverse, collaborative team, applying engineering methods and writing V&V documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) preferred with 2 years of technical experience, or 0-2 years with a Masters’ Degree.
• Level 3 requires 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with a Master’s; PhD possible with 1 year experience.
• Travel up to 10% to support business needs; DoD Secret clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop ballistic/kinematic threat models for modeling and simulation tools/frameworks.
• Document Verification & Validation (V&V) for model results and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to meet product requirements and schedules.
