Job summary

Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon seeks a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join our cardiovascular team and deliver comprehensive thoracic surgical care across office, outpatient, and inpatient settings.

You will collaborate with radiology and cardiology to advance a unified, high-quality cardiovascular surgery program and support patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Completion of general surgery residency.
• Fellowship in cardiothoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of thoracic surgical care to patients in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings.
• Provides consultation on thoracic surgical issues.
• Collaborates with radiology and cardiology to develop a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of thoracic surgical care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
• Provides consultation on thoracic surgical issues.
• Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion. Works with other specialists (radiology, cardiology) to develop a comprehensive Legacy cardiovascular surgery program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Completion of general surgery residency.
• Fellowship in cardiothoracic Surgery.

Licensure

• Medical License, DEA, BLS for the applicable state.
• Membership on LPH Medical Staff.
• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
