Job summary

Legacy Health in Portland, OR is seeking a skilled Thoracic Surgeon to join our patient‑centered cardiovascular program. You will provide comprehensive thoracic surgical care in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings, collaborating with radiology and cardiology to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Completion of general surgery residency.
• Fellowship in cardiothoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of thoracic surgical care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
• Provides consultation on thoracic surgical issues.
• Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion. Works with other specialists (radiology, cardiology) to develop a comprehensive Legacy cardiovascular surgery program.

Education

Four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent

• Medical License, DEA, BLS for the applicable state.


• Membership on LPH Medical Staff.


• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.


• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
