Legacy Health is seeking a Breast Surgical Oncologist to join a team serving the Portland Metro area. The role involves leading cancer care across office, outpatient, and inpatient settings with on-call coverage for Legacy Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Completion of General Surgery residency.
• Board Certified in General Surgery.
• Board fellowship in Surgical Oncology or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides full range of cancer care in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings.
• Provides non-trauma coverage on an on-call capacity for Legacy Hospitals.
• Provides office follow-up of cancer patients.
• Provides consultation on cancer-related issues.
• Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.
• Participates on relevant committees as requested.
• Engages in community outreach regarding Legacy’s Cancer Services.
• Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with adult and elderly/geriatric patients; works with other specialists to develop a comprehensive Legacy Cancer program.

Education

Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Board fellowship in Surgical Oncology or equivalent experience

Licensure

• Medical License in applicable state.
• BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
