Legacy Health in Portland, OR, seeks a dedicated Surgical Oncologist to join our cancer care team in a supportive, high-quality clinical environment. This role delivers comprehensive cancer care across office, outpatient, and inpatient settings with on-call coverage.

You will collaborate with specialists to advance Legacy's Cancer Program, participate in QA/QI initiatives, complete medical records promptly, and engage in community outreach—driven by compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of cancer care in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings.
• Provide non-trauma coverage on on-call basis for Legacy Hospitals.
• Follow up with cancer patients in office.
• Consult on various cancer-related issues.
• Participate in QA/QI programs for clinical practice.
• Participate on relevant committees.
• Engage in community outreach for Legacy Cancer Services.
• Complete medical records, coding, billing forms timely.
• Work with adult and elderly/geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with specialists to develop Legacy Cancer program.

• Provides a full range of cancer care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
• Provides “non-trauma” coverage on an “on‑call” capacity for Legacy Hospitals.
• Provides office follow up of cancer patients.
• Provides consultation on various cancer related issues.
• Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.
• Participates on relevant committees as requested.
• Participates in community outreach activities regarding Legacy’s Cancer Services.
• Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Works with adult and elderly/geriatric patients.
• Works with other specialists to develop a comprehensive Legacy Cancer program.
