Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is hiring for our Watertown plant to support blending and packaging of food coatings for chicken tenders, fish sticks, onion rings, french fries and other items. The role involves bulk production, using thousands of pounds of ingredients, with forklift movement and packaging targets to meet customer orders.

We offer training and a path to a stable manufacturing career. Applicants must be able to work overtime and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• 1 year minimum of packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up machine for startup and ensure proper operation.
• Verify ingredients being bagged and batch accuracy with supervisor.
• Fill bags to required weight and maintain packaging line standards.
• Assist in stacking and loading boxes/bags onto pallets; complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain product integrity and assist in inventory and cycle counts.

Job Summary

In blending, we follow recipes but this is in bulk using thousands of pounds of ingredients that we use forklifts to move around. Production workers help to perform functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders. We can train you in this role! Note: This position requires ability to work overtime and Saturdays

Essential Functions

• Properly sets up machine for startup.
• Verifies ingredient being bagged.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Fills bags with product as per the required weight and maintains packaging line standards.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/ bags onto pallet.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain the integrity of the product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
