Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Watertown, MA, is hiring for a second-shift production role at our breading and batter plant. The production worker will dump ready-to-package product to the hopper, verify ingredients and batches with supervision, and support line operations to meet packaging goals.

This role requires lifting up to 25–55 lbs, frequent heavy lifting of drums, and occasional stacking and palletizing. Prior production experience and OSHA/QA knowledge are important; a DOT physical and CDL-A may

Qualifications

• High school diploma, some college or advanced courses preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in production area or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, company policies and QA processes.
• Willing to attain DOT physical and CDL-A license if warranted.
• Must pass required testing for supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Verifies ingredients being dumped.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing/pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Assist in stacking at end of line, loading boxes/bags onto a pallet (lifting 25–55 lbs. continuously).
• Assist in bagging of product (pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs.).
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Maintain integrity of product.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.

Newly Weds Foods makes food coatings for some of the biggest brand names in the country! We are hiring for our manufacturing plant in Watertown which is a Breading and Batter plant some production positions for second shift. The production worker performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders by dumping ready to package product to the Hopper on packaging lines.

• Verifies ingredients being Dumped
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing / pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet. Requires lifting up to 25 – 55 lbs. continuously.
• Required to assist in bagging of product as needed. Requires pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs. Maintains packaging standards.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain integrity of product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, some college or advanced courses preferred. Requires a minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience in our production area or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Proven record for quality, safety and attendance policies. Thorough work knowledge of OSHA, company policies and procedures and manufacturing/QA processes.
• Must successfully pass required testing for supervisory position.
• Willing to attain DOT physical and CDL-A license if warranted.
• Professional communication, analytical abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and general knowledge in MS Office, AS400 and Lotus Notes.
