Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Watertown, MA is hiring for a production/packaging role at our Watertown plant. You will set up the packaging line, verify bags and batch details, and help meet customer orders. Training is available, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Overtime on weekends and holidays pays double or triple time, and we offer comprehensive benefits. This is a direct-hire position with opportunities for growth in a growing food manufacturing company.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up packaging machine for startup and maintain line standards.
• Verify ingredient being bagged and batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Fill bags with product per required weight and ensure packaging line accuracy.
• Assist in stacking and loading boxes/bags onto pallets at line end.
• Complete paperwork as needed and maintain product integrity.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts; keep area and equipment clean.
• Follow LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Newly Weds Foods is hiring for our Watertown plant! We provide ingredients to some of the biggest brand names in the country. Blending is where we make the food coatings for chicken tenders, fish sticks, onion rings, french fries and many other popular foods. In blending, we follow recipes but this is in bulk using thousands of pounds of ingredients that we use forklifts to move around. Production workers help to perform functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders. We can train you in this role! Note: This position requires ability to work overtime and Saturdays

Essential Functions

• Properly sets up machine for startup.
• Verifies ingredient being bagged.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
