Job summary

Gore Component Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support three-shift, high-complexity manufacturing and development of materials for medical devices and biopharmaceutical applications.

You will drive Lean practices, lead cross-functional projects, and optimize material flow while supporting day-to-day operations in Elkton, Maryland. This role emphasizes data-based decision making and continuous improvement across the end-to-end value stream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years in IE/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Hands-on experience solving problems using formal methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools to reduce waste and standardize flow.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply Industrial Engineering fundamentals and Lean/Six Sigma to drive improvements.
• Use data analytics and simulation tools to support capacity planning and impact analysis.
• Optimize material flow, standardize work, reduce lead times using Lean methods.
• Lead cross-functional projects and own processes and outcomes.
• Apply Lean to design and improve manufacturing and business processes.
• Coach associates on Lean methodologies.
• Work with ERP, MES, CAD and statistical tools.
