Foley Equipment's ThinkBIG internship program in Kansas invites aspiring diesel technicians to gain real hands-on experience while earning an Associate degree and over 2,000 hours of work experience.

Participants rotate between ThinkBIG schooling and Foley locations, with rotations typically 7–8 weeks each, over a two-year period. The program provides a $10,000-tools package, tuition reimbursement, and various scholarships and stipends.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated dependability and punctuality.
• Curiosity and eagerness to participate in and learn the Caterpillar curriculum.
• Long-term career focus and willingness to commit to the two-year program.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on shop work.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Foley's safety-first culture.
• Work with mentors to learn shop procedures and system workings.
• Attend ThinkBIG school sessions and maintain required grades.
• Complete and submit assignments related to the internship.
• Occasionally travel for training or to assist at other Foley locations.
