Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Coating Technician 1 to join the Filters Unit Production team in Massachusetts. You will operate coating chambers, maintain process records, and perform single and multilayer coatings on glass substrates, while collaborating with engineering to improve yield and chamber uptime.

The role requires reading drawings, measuring with instruments, and basic digital/analog testing. Familiarity with vacuum chambers and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military technical training required.
• 0–1 year of related experience required.
• Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating chambers per the production schedule.
• Maintain detailed and accurate process records.
• Perform single & multilayer coatings on glass substrates.
• Communicate effectively with team members and across functions.
• Clean and inspect parts before and after deposition process.
• Collaborate with coating team and Engineering to improve yield, efficiency and chamber up-time.
