Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a skilled technician to operate and optimize thin film coating processes in a fast-paced production environment. You will manage design inputs, run parameters, data extraction, and equipment performance while coordinating with peers during daily quality meetings.

The role requires focus on accuracy, safety, and timely delivery of production targets in a hands-on setting with clean room responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma with strong math/science skills.
8+ years in coating/manufacturing or advanced education preferred.
Bachelor or Technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Retrieve proper designs according to set schedule and programs into coating system operations controller.
Operate coating equipment according to set parameters and establishing procedures.
Determine evaporation layer end points to high level of accuracy.
Extract maximum data from each coating run and document accordingly.
Monitor two high volume coating chambers and support peers.
Communicate daily activities during quality meetings.
Operate characterization/test equipment and interpret results.
Maintain and adjust schedule to meet production demands.
