Job summary

Genpak is hiring for a packaging operator in Charlotte, NC. The role involves packing on thermoforming lines, communicating quality issues, and ensuring correct quantities and materials.

You will assist with machine chores, document quality adherence, and perform end-of-shift cleanup in a busy manufacturing setting. Applicants should be able to stand the full shift and handle repetitive tasks, with safety training and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate thermoforming packing lines independently.
• Communicate quality issues and document packaging requirements.
• Understand safety features of packaging machinery and PPE requirements.
• Able to perform basic machine procedures and assist with end-of-shift duties.

Responsibilities

• Pack on thermoforming machines including auto packer.
• Ensure product meets quality standards and correct quantity is packed.
• Confirm packaging material matches quality docket requirements.
• Feed sheet through trim press as required.
• Assist with scrap removal and roll changes.
• Communicate equipment or material issues to Packer and Supervisor.
• Perform end-of-shift duties (sweeping, cleaning packing table, assisting coworkers).
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
