Job summary

Genpak in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a 24/7 operation with a hands-on leadership style. You will supervise up to 30 team members across Packaging, Operating and Material Handling, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production within specifications.

The role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a focus on continuous improvement. A related degree and 3+ years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Knowledge of Plastics Industry processes and equipment, specifically extrusion and thermoforming.
• Knowledge of raw material and production supplies used in finished goods production.
• Knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with database applications.
• Basic understanding of plastic physical properties and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a production shift in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with up to 30 employees.
• Train teams on safety, process, quality, and company policies.
• Plan daily shift operations including work assignments, material flow and coverage.
• Ensure production meets specifications, customer expectations and safety standards.
• Identify issues and drive corrective actions across departments.
• Maintain production data, timecards, attendance and shift performance metrics.
• Lead safety and quality programs and promote GMP/SQF compliance.
• Foster a positive, open-door culture and develop employees for advancement.
• Support management with performance reviews and escalation processes.
