Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Senior Manager, Commercial Training to own the strategy and execution of technical training for thermal management products. You will lead internal and external audiences, align with product launches, and drive pricing and performance visibility.

You will manage a team of instructors delivering classroom, virtual, academy-based, and onsite training, ensuring curricula stay current with engineering changes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, technical education, business or related field.
• Progressive leadership in technical training, field service, or service operations.
• Experience leading instructors or subject matter experts.
• Experience managing a portfolio of training programs with schedules, resources, metrics and outcomes.
• Pricing, budgets, proposals or commercial program performance experience.
• Ability to influence across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations and support functions.
• Working knowledge of thermal management and data center technologies.
• Experience with readiness management, launch planning, or product commercialization.
• Experience with product lifecycle, launch readiness and commercialization processes.
• Certifications in project management or training recommended.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial and technical training strategy for the thermal management portfolio for internal and external audiences.
• Own the training catalog, learning paths, course availability, delivery models, and operating plan.
• Balance customer demand, readiness, instructor capacity, and priorities to a workable training roadmap.
• Partner with Services, Product Management, Sales, Operations, Engineering and regional stakeholders to align priorities.
• Lead pricing governance for the training catalog, including standard pricing and travel considerations.
• Develop, review, and approve customer training proposals and statements of work with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure training is scoped, priced, and aligned with product, IP and customer requirements.
• Monitor revenue, costs, margins, POs, and program performance; drive improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical instructors for classroom, virtual, academy, and onsite delivery.
• Establish standards for curriculum, quality, and continuous improvement.
