Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to support the development, qualification, and production of aerospace and defense systems. You will plan, develop, execute, and analyze thermal and environmental tests on components, subsystems, and integrated systems.

The role collaborates with Mechanical, Thermal, Systems, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program teams to ensure products meet thermal performance, reliability, and environmental requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in thermal/environmental testing or related aerospace/defense engineering.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing engineering test procedures.
• Experience with thermal chambers and TVAC chambers.
• Experience with thermal cycling, soak, temperature testing, and environmental qualification testing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and test documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience writing technical documentation (test procedures/reports).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute thermal/environmental test plans for aerospace/defense hardware.
• Create detailed test procedures, requirements, instrumentation plans and readiness docs.
• Plan and execute TVAC, thermal cycling, and other environmental tests.
• Support qualification, acceptance, development and verification testing.
• Operate environmental and thermal test chambers and related equipment.
• Configure and verify test instrumentation (thermocouples, RTDs, sensors).
• Monitor tests to stay within approved limits and procedures.
• Analyze test data and support root-cause investigations.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and participate in design/test reviews.
