We are seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert supporting advanced aerospace thermal protection systems. This hands‑on role spans the full product lifecycle from concept development and modeling to hardware fabrication, testing, and production support.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance thermal solutions for demanding operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and correlate detailed thermal models for complex systems
• Design and analyze active/passive thermal protection hardware (including insulation systems and high‑temperature materials)
• Lead thermal verification testing and support qualification campaigns
• Conduct thermo‑mechanical trade studies and risk reduction efforts
• Support hardware fabrication, production, and cross‑functional teams
• Prepare technical documentation and customer‑facing presentations

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of thermal engineering experience in aerospace or advanced engineering environments
• Strong background in heat transfer (radiation, conduction, convection)
• Experience with industry‑standard thermal analysis tools
• Knowledge of space or mission thermal environments
• Proficiency in CAD and scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field

• Technical leadership or SME experience
• Thermal/mechanical test planning and execution
