Job summary

Mach Industries, based in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Test Engineer to design, instrument, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical systems across a product lifecycle. You will collaborate with mechanical, avionics, mechanisms, and flight sciences teams to develop test solutions, execute experiments, and iterate designs rapidly.

You will expand Mach’s test capabilities by building test fixtures, instrumentation, automation, and lab infrastructure while supporting qualification at

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience testing systems in aerospace, automotive, electronics, or similar fields.
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/test setups and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute hands-on testing from subscale to vehicle level qualification.
• Own mechanical design and development of test hardware and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, avionics, and mechanisms teams to gather requirements and lead test readiness reviews.
• Support prototyping build and test efforts for design iteration.
• Develop testing capability through hardware procurement and lab automation, plus set standards and best practices.
• Develop test automation scripts in Python, MATLAB, or similar.
