As a Thermal Engineering Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will gain experience and training in Aerospace Thermal Analysis, familiarity with practical space/lunar environment heat transfer principles, aerospace thermal hardware, and thermal testing. In addition, interns will use the NASA standard thermal analysis tool, Thermal Desktop, to perform real-world thermal modeling and analysis tasks in support of Lunar Outpost's several flight projects focused on the expanding cis-lunar economy.All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.
Working Conditions / Schedule:This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications:
Early-June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule. This is an in-person internship; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Golden, Colorado.
