Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Golden, Colorado is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to participate in the design, review, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of robotic systems.

You will work directly with full-time engineers on real projects, gaining end-to-end experience in autonomous robotic development. Start and end dates are flexible to fit your school schedule; on-site schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with optional remote Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Job description

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will participate in the design, review, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of numerous cutting-edge robotic systems.All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Working Conditions / Schedule:This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
• Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations

Early-June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule. This is an in-person internship; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Golden, Colorado.
