Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. seeks highly motivated Thermal Engineering interns/co-ops to join our teams and support development of cooling tech for AI, HPC, and data center platforms.

You will work on thermal/hydraulic characterization, test automation scripts, and documentation, with hands-on lab experience and exposure to CAD/CFD tools. This onsite spring/summer internship requires full-time commitment at Austin or Secaucus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering (US-based).
• Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluids.
• Experience with thermal management, cooling systems, or lab testing.
• Familiarity with CAD/CFD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, ANSYS or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist in thermal/hydraulic characterization of cooling solutions.
• Evaluate air- and liquid-cooled platforms through tests and analyses.
• Support lab testing, instrumentation setup and data acquisition.
• Develop scripts to automate test execution and data processing.
• Document findings and present results in reports.
