Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support a premier defense research organization. The role focuses on end-to-end thermal design for space-qualified systems, including cryogenic to hypersonic regimes, with emphasis on thermal management across platforms.

You will perform steady-state and transient analyses, contribute to system architecture, and work with interdisciplinary teams; domestic travel up to 10% and on-site/remote mix; Must be US citizen with ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in thermal analysis and design.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop and CAD tools.
• Familiarity with space- and aerospace-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development and testing of thermal designs for space/air platforms.
• Perform steady-state and transient analyses to meet mission specs.
• Support system-level architecture and thermal management concepts.
• Procure and integrate thermal control hardware; oversee testing.
