Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering with emphasis in heat transfer or thermal sciences.
• 1+ years of thermal engineering experience.
• Experience with spacecraft thermal control systems design, analysis, and testing.
• Experience with SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop; other tools include TSS, EES, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, CAMEO, FORTRAN, Python.
• Experience with thermal vacuum and environmental test programs.
• Willingness to travel ~10% time; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal program offices to identify and resolve thermal design and performance issues in space vehicle subsystems.
• Lead analyses, modeling, simulations, experimental investigations, and assessments of spacecraft thermal designs.
• Review and contribute to thermal subsystem requirements, allocations, design, integration, test, and flight operations.
• Provide thermal engineering leadership to teams of 2+ engineers on programs and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain departmental capabilities in thermal systems engineering and design.
