Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support a premier defense research organization. The role spans thermal modeling, materials properties, and heat transfer analyses for space and airborne platforms, from cryogenic to hypersonic regimes, within a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform steady-state and transient analyses, support system trades and design reviews, select thermal control hardware, and contribute to testing across programs and mission phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field with strong thermal analysis background.
• Minimum 5 years in thermal analysis for aerospace/defense contexts.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop and CAD tools (SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development and execution of geometry-based thermal models.
• Apply thermo-physical properties and perform steady-state/transient analyses.
• Support system-level trades, design reviews, and hardware procurement decisions.
• Conduct testing and evaluation across space/airborne platforms.
