Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team. You will contribute to groundbreaking thermal hardware for lunar landers, driving designs from concept through build, test, and verification to ensure reliability in space environments.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 3+ years in thermal engineering, and hands-on experience with Creo, CFD, and related tools.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
  • 3+ years of thermal engineering experience.
  • Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid fundamentals.
  • Experience with heat exchangers, radiators, and spacecraft hardware.
  • Design, sizing, building, and testing of hardware.
  • Understanding of aerospace hardware verification/validation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team developing thermal hardware for lunar landers.
  • Drive designs through build, test, and verification phases.
  • Apply technical leadership to deliver safe, reliable components.
