HealthPro Heritage in Sterling, IL is seeking a Program Manager to lead therapy services within an assisted living community. You will supervise clinical staff such as PTs, PTAs, and other therapists, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and align programs with resident-centered care.

This role emphasizes teamwork, operational oversight, and the development of innovative therapy initiatives. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of supervisory experience in rehab, a valid PT/OT/SLP license,

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy and/or PT/OT/SLP.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as PT/OT/SLP and/or PTA/COTA, or license eligible.
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or related healthcare field.
• Supervisory or management experience in healthcare preferred, rehab therapy.
• Leadership and team management: ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical knowledge: rehabilitation principles, practices, and patient care protocols.
• Communication: excellent written and verbal communication with staff, patients, families, stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: strong decision-making and critical thinking.
• Organizational Skills: manage schedules, resources, budgets.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and supervise clinical therapy staff, including hiring and performance appraisals.
• Monitor personnel credentials and develop corrective action plans.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure high-quality services per regulatory standards (CARF, JCAHO).
• Review therapy programs to assess effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop strategies to expand therapy programs and lead marketing with hospitals and community.
• Oversee scheduling of patients and therapists to ensure coverage.
• Investigate and resolve issues, provide staff education and in-service training.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations governing rehabilitation services.
