Job summary

Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is seeking a Patient Advocate to ensure the clinic meets HIPAA, OSHA, and compliance standards while greeting and registering patients, collecting insurance data, and validating information for timely appointments. The role requires at least two years in a healthcare setting, strong communication, computer literacy, and professional telephone manners.

Typical work hours are Monday–Friday, with potential for local travel and occasional extended hours to meet

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Skills in operating business office machines.
• Skills in answering the telephone in a professional manner.
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients, employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility check.
• Fixing charts/mistakes.
• Phreesia appointment validations; cancellation/reschedules.
• Pre-registration.
• Recognize, greet and register patients in a polite, prompt and helpful manner.
• ProviderFlow.
• Answer all phone calls and voice messages in a pleasant manner and handle patient needs expeditiously.
• Verify current informational statuses and collect insurance information, demographic information and signatures as needed.
