Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Therapy Development Manager for DBS in the U.S. to partner with the US sales organization, establish new accounts, support launches, and provide advanced technical assistance.

You will collaborate with global marketing, train field teams, and engage KOLs while navigating complex cases. A biomedical/medical background and extensive therapy-specific experience are required.

Travel up to 50% is expected, with opportunities to work across regions and influence product strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific/medical field, marketing, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device product areas or related disciplines, including direct sales experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in therapy-specific role.
• Willingness to travel regionally as needed to support business activities. (50%)

Responsibilities

• Establish new accounts by building DBS programs from ground up with HCPs, hospital admins, and surgical staff.
• Sustain existing accounts with bridging expert procedural support and accelerated backfill training.
• Rescue endangered accounts via situational analysis and corrective action plans.
• Lead new hire and field-based technology training and support.
• Lead US launches of new products, platforms, and indications.
• Provide advanced procedural, programming and troubleshooting support.
• Support business development initiatives and clinical study execution.
• Give feedback to upstream & downstream marketing teams.
• Participate in global product launches and conference presence.
• Engage with KOLs and conduct competitive intelligence activities.
