Job summary

James Club Treatment Center in Florida is seeking a compassionate Addiction Treatment Therapist to join our clinical team. This on-site, part-time role runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and focuses on group and individual sessions to support clients' recovery goals.

You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress. There is potential for this role to develop into a full-time position for the right candidate

Qualifications

Role Description

James Club Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Addiction Treatment Therapist to join our clinical team.

This is an on-site, part-time position working Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Therapist will work directly with clients receiving substance use treatment, facilitating therapeutic groups and providing individual one-on-one sessions designed to support each client's treatment and recovery goals.

The Therapist will collaborate closely with the James Club clinical team to help ensure clients receive coordinated, individualized support throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group sessions
• Provide individual one-on-one therapy sessions with clients
• Build strong therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
• Help clients establish and work toward individualized treatment and recovery goals
• Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes
• Monitor client progress and communicate relevant observations to the treatment team
• Provide education and guidance on recovery, coping strategies, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and related topics
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, case management, and other team members to coordinate client care
• Participate in case discussions, treatment planning, staff meetings, and clinical supervision
• Assist with discharge and aftercare planning to support continuity of care
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow organizational, ethical, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and recovery-focused environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field preferred
• Experience working in substance use treatment, behavioral health, mental health, recovery services, or a related setting strongly preferred
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and providing individual client sessions preferred
• Understanding of substance use disorders, recovery principles, relapse prevention, and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Familiarity with therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care is a plus
• Strong communication, active listening, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills
• Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals in recovery
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Willingness to participate in supervision, continued learning, and professional development
