Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to join our nursing care team in Mission Valley, TX. The role focuses on preparing nutritious, appetizing meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and physician orders, while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

We offer full-time AM and PM shifts, competitive pay of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, and benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, plus paid time off and holiday pay.

Qualificações

• Healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional needs and physician-ordered diets.
• Prepare and modify meals for special diets (diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified).
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and proper food storage.
• Assist with inventory and communicate needs to dietary leadership.
• Support meal service and ensure proper portions and presentation.
• Collaborate with dietary staff, nursing, and care team to meet resident needs.
