Cascadia Healthcare in Medford, OR is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals for residents and staff, following therapeutic diets and safety standards. You will apply standardized recipes, portion control, and timely service to ensure meals meet taste and temperature expectations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and ServSafe certification is preferred. The role requires attention to cleanliness, infection control, and collaboration with the Culinary Manager and other departments

Formación

• Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling.
• Knowledge of basic nutrition.
• Skilled in quantity food production.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members and at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to read, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English through verbal and written means.
• Ability to do basic math.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to a planned menu and for staff, as requested.
• Prepares alternative items to meet residents’ individual needs and food preferences.
• Uses proper food handling and safety techniques according to policies and regulations.
• Ensures meals are delivered on time and at proper temperatures.
• Prepares and portions food using standardized recipes and portion control.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Labels, dates, and stores food properly per policies.
• Performs cleaning duties and infection control practices as required.
