Job summary

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) at Moose Lake is seeking two Cooks to prepare meals for clients on regular and therapeutic diets, under the Direct Care and Treatment program. Two Cook positions are open: one with rotating hours (5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. / 10:30 a.m.

- 9:00 p.m.) with varying days, and another 10:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wed–Sat. Responsibilities include meal prep, inventory assistance, HACCP sanitation, and compliance with state and MSOP regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of large-scale cooking methods and equipment to serve many people.
• Knowledge of food values and nutrition; ability to prepare special medical diets if required.
• Knowledge of health and safety principles in food prep operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Unload and store food and supplies; assist with inventory.
• Maintain sanitation per HACCP and MSOP regulations.
• Perform other food service tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with safety, health standards and procedures.
