Job summary

ND Health and Human Services' Life Skills & Transition Center in Grafton, ND seeks a Cook to prepare nutritious meals following standardized menus and recipes, while meeting dietary needs and maintaining sanitary practice. You will ensure safe temperatures with thermometers, uphold sanitation and portion control, and help maintain quality in accordance with department policies.

Schedule: Weekdays 8:15am–4:45pm, every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of cooking or food preparation experience strongly desired.
• Must be able to read and understand recipes and dietary cards in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regular and therapeutic menu items following standardized menus and recipes.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ensure foods are cooked and held at safe temperatures using thermometers and documentation.
