Job summary

Good Shepherd in Blair, NE is actively hiring a Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, aligned with dietary requirements and quality standards.

You will work with the dietary team to ensure safe, appealing meals and help with inventory, kitchen cleanliness, and meeting food-safety regulations.

Full-time shifts are available (days or evenings) with 5:30AM–2PM or 11AM–7PM schedules, and $16–$18 per hour compensation.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Follow therapeutic diet requirements and physician orders.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure excellent meal service.
