Job summary

Imagine! in Colorado is seeking a direct support professional to promote health, safety, and community participation for participants with developmental disabilities. You will provide therapeutic supports, assist with daily living tasks, and help individuals access community resources while following Individual Plans.

You will document progress, report incidents, and collaborate with therapy teams. A valid driver’s license is required, and lifting up to 50 pounds is part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of college preferred.
• Ability and willingness to complete required training curriculum.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the participants.
• Engages in skilled interaction with participants requiring therapeutic support to live full and enriching lives.
• Assists participants with daily living supports, including meal support and hygiene.
• Assists with accessing and utilizing community resources and transports participants to sites.
• Learns and applies effective teaching skills with Therapists and Coordinating team.
• Implements Individual Treatment/Behavior Plans and data collection.
• Reports incidents and changes to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and maintains documentation.
