Job summary

Imagine! seeks a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety, and welfare for participants in Colorado. You will provide daily living assistance, transportation to community activities, and support with toileting and other needs in a respectful, therapeutic setting.

You will document activities, report incidents, and collaborate with therapists to implement treatment plans. Evening and weekend work may be required in a community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to engage with people with developmental disabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication with individuals and groups.
• Ability to work independently and travel in the community.
• Experience using basic word processing/internet-based databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily living tasks and transportation to community activities.
• Support with toileting hygiene from minimal prompting to full assistance.
• Promote health, safety, and welfare of participants in accordance with plans and policies.
• Document and report incidents and follow through on required paperwork.
