MHMR of Tarrant County is seeking a Therapeutic Coach to deliver comprehensive care and support to individuals, providing therapeutic coaching both in person and virtually. The position requires a High School Diploma, with preferences for a Bachelor's in human services and at least two years of experience with IDD or behavioral health needs; a valid TX

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
  • Defined Education: None.
  • Preferences: bachelor’s degree in human services.
  • Substitutions: 60 college credit hours with two years-experience working with IDD or behavior health needs.
  • Years' Experience: 2 years with IDD or behavior health needs.
  • License/Certifications: valid TX DL.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care and support to enhance well-being of service recipients.
  • Provide therapeutic support and skills training in person and virtually.

Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver comprehensive care and support to enhance the well-being of service recipients. This involves providing therapeutic support and skills training both in person and virtually, fostering communication with clinical professionals and the individual's support system as authorized. Acting as a role model and mentor, the position includes coaching service recipients using approved techniques and strategies and implementing physical intervention when necessary to ensure the safety of individuals. Additionally, meticulous completion of documentation and reporting for grant programs is essential to contribute to the team's operational effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Defined Education: None

Preferences: bachelor's degree in human services

Substitutions: 60 college credit hours with two years-experience working with IDD or behavior health needs

Years' Experience: Two (2) years in Working with individuals with IDD or Behavior Health needs

License/Certifications: valid TX DL
