Job summary

Intercept Youth Services is seeking a Therapeutic Aide in Lexington, Virginia. In this role, you will work directly with children, implementing behavior principles to foster coping and pro-social skills while managing disruptive behaviors with trauma-informed methods.

Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma is required.
• Previous experience working with children is necessary.
• Specific experience with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients 1:1 or in small groups inside schools.
• Implement behavior principles to improve coping and pro-social skills.
• Observe and collect data to assess individual skills and program goals.
• Collaborate with school personnel and provide training to parents.
