Job summary

Intercept Health is hiring a Therapeutic Aide to work 1:1 or in small groups with clients inside a local school district in Virginia. You will implement trauma-informed behavior strategies to increase coping skills and pro-social behavior, and you will collect data to assess progress and guide goals.

You will collaborate with school staff, attend meetings, and provide coaching to parents or caregivers on behavior management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s in Behavioral science preferred.
• ABA experience or work with children with developmental needs is a plus.
• Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is desirable.

Hourly compensation expectation is up to $20/hour (based on experience). Hours of availability required are Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4:00 PM

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
