Job summary

Intercept Health is seeking a Therapeutic Aide to support students in a local school district. You will implement trauma-informed behavior strategies to increase coping and pro-social skills while observing and collecting data for program goals.

You will collaborate with school staff, participate in meetings, and coach parents or caregivers on behavior management to promote generalization of skills in daily life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience with children preferred.
• Bachelor's in Behavioral science preferred; autism/ABA experience a plus.
• Professional experience in working with children and families preferred.

Therapeutic Aide

Hourly compensation expectation is up to $20/hour (based experience).

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required:

The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
