Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and provide excellent customer service.

You will greet customers at the entrance, monitor for shoplifting, and assist with shortage reduction programs while upholding company standards and safety policies. The role emphasizes strong communication, vigilance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits to deter theft and maintain a secure shopping environment.
• Greet customers with a warm, energetic welcome and assist with questions and concerns.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies and with leadership as needed.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety and security standards.
• Support training for associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
