Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, welcoming store environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and escalate theft incidents to management, all while following safety rules and company policies. This role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and offers a competitive hourly wage with associate benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Strong communication with customers and coworkers.
• Excellent leadership skills to foster productive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to deter theft and maintain a secure environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store personnel per safety standards.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
