Job summary

Cinemark is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run theatre operations, train staff, and ensure policy adherence. You will support the General Manager, work across departments, and contribute to a high-standard guest experience in a fast-paced cinema environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and reliable attendance, with opportunities for advancement to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Complies with local/state food handling or health certifications where required.
• Management staff handling alcohol must complete Safe Alcohol Service training.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required.
• Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to follow directions and respond with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager.
• Supports General Manager’s decisions in staff communications.
• Works in all departments and theatre job functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their jobs.
• Prepares administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Inspects theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, and equipment; reports repairs.
• Ensures dress code adherence for team members.
• Delivers superior guest service and positive guest interactions.
• Enforces Cinemark guidelines with fair conduct.
• Reports employee relations issues to the General Manager.
