Job summary

The Taproot Theatre is seeking Box Office Representatives to handle ticket sales, maintain the donor database, distribute will call tickets, and assist patrons with seating or ticketing issues in Seattle. You will be the frontline contact for patrons, requiring excellent customer service and accuracy with cash handling.

Responsibilities include managing inquiries by phone and email, printing will call tickets, and staying current with box-office policies.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Taproot Theatre’s mission and values.
• Excellent patron service and communication skills.
• Availability to work 2–4 evenings and Saturday shifts during productions.
• Ability to handle cash and give accurate change.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Willingness to learn ticketing software.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process in-person or phone ticket sales.
• Manage and respond to box office inquiries by phone and email.
• Print and distribute will call tickets.
• Keep box office clean and orderly.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company and box-office policy.
• Review production study guides and info sheets.
• Attend productions within the first week when scheduled.
