Job summary

Jackson State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor - Theatre (Pool). The role focuses on delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies while engaging a diverse student body on campus, evenings, and online formats.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's in Theatre or related field with 18 graduate hours in Theatre. Collegiate teaching experience is preferred. A background in using MS Office and various delivery modes is expected.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Theatre or related field with 18 graduate hours in Theatre from an accredited institution.
Collegiate level teaching experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

Teach courses on ground, evenings, off-campus, and distance-based as required.
Post grades during the term and submit final grades by deadlines.
Complete required trainings, reports, surveys; advise Chair/Dean if unable to teach; attend meetings.
Check JSCC email and departmental mailbox; respond within 48 hours, excluding weekends.
Submit or update class syllabus at least 2 weeks before the first day of class or within seven days of contract.
