Job summary

Jackson State Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach Spanish in a pool of instructors. The role involves delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies and diverse delivery modes, including on-ground, evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses.

A Master’s degree in Spanish with at least eighteen graduate credits is required, and collegiate teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Spanish or related field and at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours in Spanish.
• Ability to deliver instruction using varying modalities (on-ground, evening, distance-based).
• Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on ground as assigned, and evening, off-campus, or distance-based courses as required.
• Post grades during term and submit final grades by Registrar deadlines.
• Complete required trainings and reports and communicate with Chair/Dean promptly if unable to teach.
• Monitor JSCC email and departmental mailbox and respond within 48 hours.
• Submit syllabus 2 weeks before class or within seven days of contract execution.
