Job summary

Jackson State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in Political Science (Pool) to deliver quality instruction using integrative technologies. Courses may be taught on ground, in the evening, off-campus, or distance-based formats.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Political Science or related field with at least eighteen (18) credit hours in graduate level Political Science from an accredited institution.
• Collegiate level teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on ground as assigned, including evening, off-campus, and distance-based formats.
• Post grades during term for student feedback and submit final grades by registrar deadlines.
• Complete required college trainings and reports (attendance, alerts, progress reports, grade submissions); attend meetings as requested.
• Check JSCC email and departmental mailbox; respond within 48 hours (excluding weekends).
• Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks before first day of class or within seven days of contract execution.
