Job summary

Egis is seeking a Transportation Design Lead to drive the Texas market from Houston, Austin, or San Antonio offices. You’ll lead the Texas transportation design team, manage client relationships, and oversee project delivery with a focus on public agencies such as TxDOT and MPOs.

This senior role requires a Civil Engineering degree, Texas licensure, and 15+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure, with proven leadership and budget management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Civil Engineering license in Texas.
• Minimum 15 years of diversified civil engineering experience, transportation infrastructure.
• Led significant projects with budget management and team leadership.
• Experience in planning, design and construction for roads, highways and bridges.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management, design oversight, and staff management for Texas transportation design.
• Review plans, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for quality and constructability.
• Prepare project reports and feasibility studies.
• Lead client meetings and interface with Egis’s clients.
• Develop project schedules, scope, and budget; manage resources.
• Ensure QA/QC through design reviews and cost estimates.
