Job summary

Egis seeks a Transportation Design Lead to support the Texas market, based in one of our TX offices (Houston, Austin, or San Antonio). You will guide the transportation design team, drive technical excellence, and shape client engagements across the Texas agencies and municipalities.

The role emphasizes leadership, project execution, and strategic growth, requiring a strong understanding of regional opportunities and a proven ability to manage staff and budgets while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Texas Professional Engineer license required.
15+ years in civil engineering with transportation infrastructure focus.
Led and delivered major projects with team and budget management.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead the Texas transportation design team, overseeing staff, resources, and budgets.
Review designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for quality and compliance.
Develop and maintain client relationships; pursue TxDOT, MPOs, cities, counties, and regional authorities opportunities.
Develop regional growth plans and support business development initiatives.
Ensure QA/QC across projects and support Go/No-Go decisions.
