Job summary

CITEX USA is seeking a Sr. Transportation Engineer in Texas with 8–15 years of experience. You will lead transportation design efforts from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with TxDOT and local standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, detailed design work, and the ability to travel to various sites. The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, Texas PE or reciprocity within a few months, and proficient skills in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Texas PE via reciprocity within a few months.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites and locations as required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of TxDOT and local county/city standards and procedures.
• Support and lead design efforts for municipal and TxDOT transportation projects.
• Prepare design plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates.
• Experience with roadway plan production and development.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer.
• Familiarity with TxDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, and related criteria.
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
